Welcome to our Classroom Blog!

Dear Families!
Our first 5 day week flew by!   Students continued to become more comfortable with our classroom routines and daily schedule, and have been enjoying getting to know each other.   The class attended Music for the first day on Monday.  Photo Day was Wednesday, and we also released our Monarch butterfly that afternoon.  We stood in a circle and waved farewell as it flew determinedly skyward.
Read alouds this week have included Where The Wild Things Are, Yo! Yes?, Quiet As A Cricket and
If You  Give A Mouse A Cookie.  I completed the September Literacy screening on each student and we have begun class work on rhyming.  Next week we'll add more structured lessons in both Math and Literacy.
By now you have received the permission slip for our field trip to Hackett's Orchard in South Hero on Monday, September 27th.  Please return this by next Thursday, September 23rd.
I hope you and your children enjoy some outdoor time this weekend!
