February is Dental Hygiene Month! The class welcomed a visit from Tammy Niquette, mother of Zachary, who is a Dental Hygienist with Timberlane Dental Group. Mrs. Niquette taught us about the types of teeth we have, what teeth are made of, and how and why to keep them healthy. Students were particularly interested to know that they'll have a total of 32 permanent teeth! Each student received some free dental care products, and Mrs. Niquette also lent us some excellent read-alouds about dentists and dental care.
