We had an exciting time last week when Shaina shared with us about the Lunar New Year, which was on February 10th. Shaina brought in her traditional Ao Dai outfit, and her mom kindly sent us all in a treat of crystallized coconut to try! Shaina explained to us how in Viet Nam, children receive lucky red envelopes filled with money-- so we made some in the classroom! We had a great time learning about Shaina's culture. (By the way, the blue outfit belongs to Shaina's little brother, Joseph!)
