Hello, My name is Laurie Cullen! I work with Ms. Barnes, as a Kindergarten Assistant. I have the pleasure of getting to know your children throughout the school year. I love working with this age, and I find this work extremely rewarding. Children have a way of making me smile and laugh every day. This will be my third year working with Ms. Barnes, and I have to say, I truly love my job! Some of my favorite things to do in the classroom are to cook with the children, make projects, and watch their progression throughout the school year. It will always be amazing to me, how much a child at five or six learns in just one year of school.
I live in Colchester with my husband, two boys, dog and my cat. I love this town. Both of my boys are alumni of UMS. I have worked at UMS snce my youngest son was in Kindergarten, now he is in seventh grade! I started out as a Para-Educator in the Special Education Department. I feel like UMS is a great place to be, and I look forward to being here with your children every day.
