Filling Buckets

The class has been learning about filling buckets (as explained in the books by Tom Rath and others).  We know that we all carry around invisible buckets with us.  When we feel good about ourselves and our abilities, our buckets are full.  When we reach out to others in kind and respectful ways, we fill their buckets and our own.  We are encouraging everyone to be bucket fillers, rather than bucket-dippers.  This week, Mrs. Cullen, Ms. Post and I will drop marbles into a glass vase each time we note bucket-filling behavior so that the class can see concretely how kind gestures add up.  Ask your child to fill your bucket!
