This week, the class continued practicing filling buckets. One day we each took care of a friend, and then on Thursday and Friday, we each had a "secret friend" that we were doing kind things for and saying kind things to. (We talked about how, if you are kind to EVERYONE, your secret friend will be extra surprised to learn who you are!) Each child decorated a pair of paper mittens for his/her secret friend. Friday afternoon we enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate and received the mittens from our friends. I am encouraging students to work on filling buckets at home as well as at school, so you may hear this language from your sons and daughters.
