We were so pleased that Larry Waters, our Superintendent of Schools, visited the class to read aloud to the children on Wednesday, September 21st. Mr. Waters chatted with the students and then read and discussed Mr. Duck Means Business, a story in which a duck has to find a way to include friends. Mr. Waters tied the book in to recess behavior and sharing with others. Thank you, Mr. Waters!
(The class is growing as a group in their ability to listen to and discuss books. We are working on the skills of making connections and predictions and listening and looking carefully to find details.)
